Journey to the Center is part of a series of mixed media pieces worked on using the word “journey” as inspiration. It is composed on Aquaboard. The piece is 9×12. Using acrylics, and papers painted and designed with stamps and images to imagine the journey path. It is adhered with gels and gloss.
Solar Spring is on composed on Gessoboard. The concept behind it was how to represent the warming earth, so using hot colors and strong graphics to show a spring that wasn’t the usual soft colors of new life, but one that grapples with harsh conditions, almost melting the earth beneath.
